Robert Smith is a financial advisor who has earned the CLU®, ChFC®, LIC, CCCC, RIA, AAMS®, CMP® and CMPS® professional designations. Throughout his five-decade career in financial services, Robert has consistently ranked in the top 1% worldwide in insurance and financial services production.

Robert completed The American College’s four-year certified life underwriter (CLU®) and chartered financial consultant (ChFC®) designation programs. While the college allows agents up to seven years to complete both programs, Robert completed both the CLU® and the ChFC® programs inside of 13 months.

While with New York Life, Robert completed his accredited asset management specialist (AAMS) designation with the College for Financial Planning. As a perennial Million Dollar Round Table® (MDRT®) qualifier, Robert was part of the New York Life team that led the MDRT® for the 15th consecutive year.

Robert set financial production records in seven categories as branch manager at BankAtlantic/BB&T. He was also the No. 1 producer worldwide with Mutual of New York (MONY)/AXA Equitable when AXA was the largest financial service provider in the world. He also worked at John Hancock.

While with MONY/AXA Equitable, Robert taught the certified financial planner (CFP®) curriculum to financial advisors, bankers, accountants, attorneys and others at Oglethorpe University. Robert also served as a Princeton Review Instructor.

Robert earned his Master of Fine Arts in creative writing as valedictorian at Full Sail University and his feature film writing degree with distinction at UCLA.

He is dedicated to teaching consumers how to achieve and maintain financial security. He also consults people in various industries on how to overcome adversity and reach the top of their chosen professions. He is currently writing a book titled “#1” featuring others who have reached the top of their chosen professions.
